People & Business :: Companies Brenntag Buys U.S. Distribution Business10:14 AM MDT | August 2, 2010 | Nancy Seewald Brenntag says it has agreed to acquire Houghton Chemical’s (Allston, MA) industrial chemicals and solvents distribution business for $7.1 million. The acquired business serves the adhesives, coatings, elastomers, and sealants industries, as well as the personal care and pharmaceutical end markets. It has annual sales of about $30 million.
