Borouge Awards Innovation Center Contract

Borouge has awarded a UED 260 million ($70.8 million) contract for the construction of a previously announced innovation center in Abu Dhabi to Associated Construction and Investments Co. (Ascon), the civil arm of the ETA-Ascon Group. The new center, planned for completion by the end of 2011, will house more than 50 researchers and engineers focusing on developing innovative plastics solutions for the pipe, automotive and advanced packaging industries.
