Borealis Completes Melamine Acquisition

Taylor: Developing a ‘second leg.’ Borealis completed the previously announced acquisition earlier this month of Agrolinz Melamine International (AMI; Linz, Austria). AMI, Europe’s biggest producer of melamine, will retain its corporate identity. OMV (Vienna) and International Petroleum Investment Co. (Abu Dhabi), the joint owners of Borealis, were also the owners of AMI.
