People & Business :: Companies Bids Expected Shortly for Sabic-ExxonMobil Elastomers Complex5:12 AM MST | January 4, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Invitations to bid for some units, which will form part of a previously announced elastomers joint venture between Sabic and ExxonMobil at Al Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, are expected to be issued this month, local sources say. The units will produce methyl tert-butyl ether and halobutyl rubber. They will form part of a multi billion-dollar elastomers project, which will have a combined capacity of 400,000 m.t./year and produce carbon black, as well as rubber and themoplastic specialty polymers such as ethylene propylene diene monomer, thermoplastic olefins...
