People & Business :: Companies Bayer Sues Teva for Patent Infringement8:29 AM MDT | July 6, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Bayer Schering Pharma AG, Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Schering Corporation have jointly filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the U.S. Federal Court in the District of Delaware against Teva Pharmaceuticals USA and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. The lawsuit concerns Teva's application to the FDA for approval to market a generic form of Levitra, Bayer Schering Pharma's therapy for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, prior to patent expiration.
