BASF and Ineos Offer to Divest Styrenics Plant

BASF and Ineos have told the European Commission that they are prepared to sell one production plant to gain regulatory approval for the companies’ previously announced Styrolution styrenics joint venture, BASF says. The commssion says it extended the deadline for approving Styrolution from May 18 until June 1 after “BASF offered commitments.” BASF declined to name the plant because discussions with the commission continue.
