People & Business :: Companies BASF Starts up an Intermediates Manufacturing Complex at Ludwigshafen5:01 AM MST | November 30, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz BASF says it has completed construction of a more than €100 million ($149.2 million) complex for the production of the intermediates cyclopentanone (CPon) and cyclododecanone (CDon) at its Ludwigshafen, Germany site. The complex will have combined capacity for about 30,000 m.t./year and will lead to the creation of 48 new jobs. The new facility will be the first to use nitrous oxide for industrial scale oxidation, BASF says.
