BASF has outlined strategies for further growth in plastics. The company’s plans include: strengthening its performance polymers business via expansion and possibly adding new products such as polycarbonates (PC); launching new products, including polyols based on renewable raw materials and its newly developed elastomeric polyurethane system Elastocoast; and expanding its recently launched Ecovio biodegradable plastics business.
