People & Business :: Companies Azelis Subsidiary Buys U.K. Fertilizer Plants1:55 PM MDT | August 20, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Chance & Hunt (Runcorn, U.K.), a subsidiary of chemical distributor Azelis (Milan), has agreed to acquire Kemira GrowHow’s (Helsinki) U.K. process chemicals business for an undisclosed amount. The business produces ammonia, ammonium nitrate, nitric acid, urea, and other products at Ince, U.K., and has sales of more than £10 million/year ($20 million). GrowHow will continue to operate the plant on behalf of Chance & Hunt under a tolling arrangement. The deal is expected to close by the end of this month. Selling the process chemicals business...
