People & Business :: Companies Asahi Kasei to Continue Polyester Production at Moriyama Plant1:47 AM MDT | April 7, 2009 | Deepti Ramesh Asahi Kasei Fibers (AKF), an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, tells CW that it will continue to produce polyester non-woven products at its Moriyama, Japan plant, following the closure of the polyester plant at Nobeoka, Japan. Asahi Kasei announced last month that AKF will stop production of polyester fiber due to poor profitability and will close the Nobeoka plant by the end of September. “Polyester products that are made at the Moriyama plant will not be involved in this structural transformation and so the Moriyama plant will continue its operation,”...
