Arkema launches production of biobased nylon-10,10

Arkema has launched production of Rilsan T, a biobased nylon-10,10 processed from castor oil, at the company's production facility at Serquigny, France, the company has announced. The new product possesses a high degree of rigidity, in particular when reinforced with glassfiber; thermal stability; permeability to petrol and gas; and processability, while consisting of up to 100% renewable carbon, Arkema says.
