American Vanguard reports record earnings on strong crop protection demand

American Vanguard announced record results in the fourth quarter 2012 amidst strong end-use demand, especially in the food, feed, fiber and bio-fuels markets. Net income increased 76%, to $11.3 million year-on-year (YOY)—with earnings per share of 39 cts/share surpassing analyst consensus of 35 cts/share, according to Thomson Reuters (New York).
