American Pacific Sells its Fuel Propulsion Business to Moog

American Pacific (Las Vegas) is changing its business plan from rocket-fuel to pharmaceuticals. The company is selling its propulsion business to Moog (New York), a control component and system maker for aircraft and space vehicles, for $46 million. The propulsion business makes liquid-fuel systems for satellites and missile defense, and made about $51 million in sales in the first quarter of 2011, the company says.
