People & Business :: Companies Airgas Issues Five-Year Bonds at 3.25% (Update)11:17 AM MDT | September 28, 2010 | Vincent Valk Airgas is issuing $250 million in bonds due 2015, company has announced. The bonds will carry an interest rate of 3.25%. They have been rated 'BBB' by Standard & Poor's (S&P; New York) and 'Baa3' by Moody's. The Moody's rating is one notch lower than the S&P rating. Both ratings, however, are in line with overall corporate ratings for Airgas, and are investment-grade. The proceeds from the debt issue will go towards paying down borrowings under the company's recently-announced credit line. "Airgas continues to refinance and extend...
