Airgas says it has closed on its acquisition of eight air separation units (ASUs) in the eastern U.S. from Linde, following U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) approval of the deal late last week. The divestment was made to satisfy the requirements set by the FTC when it approved Linde’s acquisition of BOC last August. Linde is retaining the 23 U.S.-based ASUs that it acquired with BOC, and three other U.S.-based ASUs that Linde has operated since before the BOC acquisition.
