Air Products signs MOU for helium purchase in Russia

Air Products has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gazprom that confirms Air Products’ plans to purchase helium from Gazprom. The Russian energy giant is developing natural gas resources in eastern Siberia and plans to implement large-scale helium production from helium-rich gas feedstock in the Blagoveshchensk region beginning in 2018, the company says.  “This MOU is the latest in a series of actions we have taken to better position ourselves in meeting increasing customer helium demand,” says John Van Sloun, general manager...
