People & Business :: Companies Air Products and PetroChina to Build Air Separation Unit6:48 AM MDT | September 28, 2009 | Vincent Valk Air Products and PetroChina are jointly constructing an air separation unit (ASU) in Sichuan, China, the companies announced today. The ASU, which is expected to be on-stream in late 2011, will supply oxygen and nitrogen to PetroChina's refinery and ethylene complex in Sichuan and liquid products to merchant gas customers in and around Chengdu. The new unit, which will be owned by a variety of entities including Air Products, PetroChina, an Air Products subsidiary, and the Chengdu government, will be designed built at Air Products' engineering center in Shanghai...
