People & Business :: Companies Air Liquide's Sales Growth Slows on Weaker Economy; Higher Earnings Are Forecast9:28 AM MST | February 17, 2012 | Ian Young Air Liquide reported an almost 6% increase in fourth-quarter 2011 sales compared with the same period of 2010, to €3.7 billion. Sales by the company's gases and services business increased 1.9% year on year in the fourth quarter on a comparable basis, to €3.3 billion, down from 7.7% growth in the previous quarter and 11.3% growth in the year-earlier quarter. Fourth-quarter earnings were not disclosed but Air Liquide's full-year 2011 net profits increased 9%, to €1.5 billion on sales up 7% on a comparable basis, to €14.5 billion. Both figures...
