Air Liquide extends agreement with LyondellBasell, to invest $230 million in upgrades

Air Liquide announced today that it has signed a contract with LyondellBasell Industries to provide steam, power, air gases, and water to three of LyondellBasell’s plants near Pasadena, TX. This agreement expands Air Liquide’s existing agreement with LyondellBasell, and Air Liquide will now reinvest in an energy efficient cogeneration unit—increasing capacity to 1,300 m.t./hour of steam and 300 megawatts of electricity, which will extend its life by over 20 years, the company says.
