H.I.G. Capital closes Ampac deal

Private equity firm H.I.G. Capital (Miami) says it has closed its $392-million acquisition of American Pacific (Ampac; Las Vegas) for $46.50/share, which was announced in January. Some 68.1% of American Pacific’s shares were tendered for $46.50 each in response to HIG’s tender offer, which expired yesterday. Ampac will now become a portfolio company of HIG capital.
