Sulfur fertilizer company Sulvaris to build Alberta production facility

Sulvaris (Calgary, AB) says it has received final regulatory approval from Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (AESRD) for its sulfur fertilizer plant in central Alberta. Construction is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter 2014. The facility will be built on Keyera’s (Calgary, AB) existing Strachan gas plant near Rocky Mountain House, AB and will convert elemental sulfur into Vitasul. The facility will be jointly owned by Keyera and Sulvaris, with Keyera as the operator, and will produce about 217,000 m.t./year of sulfur...
