Actavis to acquire Warner Chilcott in deal worth up to $8.5 billion

Actavis (Parsippany, NJ) and Warner Chilcott (Dublin) have entered into a definitive agreement under which Actavis will acquire Warner Chilcott in a stock-for-stock transaction valued at approximately $5 billion, or $8.5 billion including net debt, the companies have announced.
