People & Business :: Companies Praxair, Honeywell Sign Carbon Dioxide Supply Agreement2:20 PM MDT | September 10, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Praxair has signed a 15-year agreement with Honeywell’s resins and chemicals unit for the purchase of carbon dioxide (CO2)—a by-product of Honeywell’s caprolactam facility at Hopewell, VA. The CO2 will be purified and liquefied at Praxair’s plant at the Hopewell site, scheduled to start up in the third quarter of 2013. The plant will produce 450 tons/day of the CO2, which will be used mostly in food freezing, processing, and beverage applications.
