Celanese says it has sold its Pampa, TX facility to Babcock & Brown (B&B; Sydney), an investment firm with significant power generation and electric transmission and distribution holdings. Terms were not disclosed. The site makes acetic acid and acetic anhydride, and production of those products will continue until at least early 2009, Celanese says.
