US chemicals sector rail traffic falls 0.1%1:46 PM MST | February 8, 2013 Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America declined 0.1% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 2 February, to 43,465 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic was down 2.1%, to 31,075 cars. Canadian traffic rose 3.8%, to 10,945 cars, while Mexican traffic increased 18%, to 1,445 cars. Traffic increased from the prior week’s totals.
