Solvay opens facility in North Dakota to serve shale customers

Solvay has opened a laboratory and production facility at Killdeer, North Dakota to serve oil and gas customers in the Bakken shale formation and expand its tailored formulations that facilitate extraction, the company announced today. The new facility positions Solvay’s Novecare business unit among the first specialty chemical players to serve oilfield services companies in North America's second largest reserve of tight oil and shale gas.
