Showa Denko chemical businesses post higher results

Showa Denko reports a 39.9% fall in net profits for the nine-month period ended 30 September compared with the year-ago period, to ¥6.75 billion ($68.5 million). Nine-month sales increased 12.9%, to ¥617.5 billion, largely because of higher sales in the company's petrochemicals business segment, Showa Denko says.
