Sasol Solvents to mothball plants in Germany, cut 130 jobs

Sasol announced today that it is planning to mothball parts of its Herne, Germany, site as part of a greater initiative in its Sasol Solvents Germany business. The affected production units, including among others the production of isopropanol and ethanol are intended to be shut down successively by the second quarter of 2014. Sasol says these measures are part of a project aimed at improving the economic performance of Sasol Solvents Germany. Sasol announced this initiative in August 2013.
