Reports: Vale signs agreement to exit Argentina potash project

Vale (Rio de Janeiro) has signed an agreement with the Argentinean government and trade unions to quit the Rio Colorado potash project in Mendoza, Argentina, putting an end to months of discord with the Argentinean authorities, media reports say. The Argentinean government launched a negotiation process on 22 April in an effort to limit the social impact the cessation of the project would have on the site's workers, as previously reported by CW. Vale, under the terms of the agreement, will be able to terminate contracts with suppliers of services and equipment...
