Petronas goes ahead with Rapid plan, aroma ingredients JV

The board of Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) has approved the final investment decision for the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) project in the southern Malaysian state of Johor, the company says. The project comprises the previously announced Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) production complex and associated facilities, Petronas says. Construction will start once the Johor government hands over the project site fully to Petronas. The refinery is slated to start up by early 2019.
