Nufarm acquires majority stake in Brazilian seeds firm11:22 AM MST | February 4, 2013 Agrochemical firm Nufarm (Melbourne) says that its wholly owned seed and traits subsidiary Nuseed has acquired a 51% stake in Atlantica Sementes (Curitiba, Brazil), a business specializing in sorghum and sunflower seeds, for 25 million reais ($12.6 million). Atlantica has administration, sales, marketing, production, and testing capabilities in Brazil and a strong branded market presence, Nufarm says.
