Kemira has announced additional restructuring measures as well as profitability and sales targets for 2016. The latest measures include permanent closure of Kemira's production facility at Vaasa, Finland, by the end of 2013 with the likely loss of 60 jobs. The closure is expected to lead to annualized cost savings of â‚¬5 million ($6.5 million). Kemira also plans to merge support functions at more than six locations across Europe into a single center at Gdansk, Poland, leading to 210 job losses, of which 80 will be in Finland.
