Innovia Films to expand BOPP film capacity at Wigton, UK

Innovia Films (Wigton, UK), a division of Innovia Group, has announced a £20-million ($31 million) investment for the installation of additional biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film capacity and a state-of-the-art gas turbine at its Wigton site. The company’s film is used as substrate for banknotes in many countries. The additional BOPP capacity will help Innovia meet the increasing worldwide demand for specialty grades of BOPP film. The investment is expected to increase its global output by 10% and will support its R&D and market development...
