Ineos, Sinopec sign JV agreement

Ineos Phenol and Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical (Sinopec YPC) have signed a joint-venture agreement and articles of association to form a 50-50 jv company at Nanjing, China for the companies’ previously announced phenol-acetone project. The jv, Ineos YPC Phenol Nanjing Co., will build the largest phenol-acetone plant in China, at the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park. The project will involve a total investment of $500 million and the plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2016. The complex will produce 400,000 m.t./year of phenol and 250,000 m.t./year...
