Hexion to Shutter U.K. Adhesives Plant

Hexion Specialty Chemicals says it plans to close its Clayton, U.K. plant and shift production of pressure-sensitive adhesives to its Sokolov, Czech Republic facility at the end of the first quarter of 2008. The Clayton plant also manufactures a line of foam control agents, which Hexion plans to divest. Hexion acquired the Clayton plant in 2006 through its acquisition of Rhodia's decorative coatings and adhesives business.
