Fire at Tosoh ethyleneamine plant

Tosoh says that a fire broke out at about 9.17 p.m. on 3 April at the No. 3 ethyleneamine plant in the company’s Nanyo complex at Shunan, Japan. The fire was extinguished within an hour, but the cause of the accident is not yet clear, Tosoh says. There were no casualties or environmental damage as a result of the incident; the physical damage to the plant site is being investigated, Tosoh says.
