Evonik to start making phthalate-free plasticizer next year11:04 AM MST | December 12, 2012 Evonik Industries says it plans to launch a new generation of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticizers. The company's plans include the launch of phthalate-free and biobased plasticizers. Production of the new plasticizers will be at facilities that Evonik began building last summer at Marl, Germany. The company's total investment in this project is in the double-digit million-euro range, Evonik says. The facilities will produce 40,000 m.t./year of the phthalate-free plasticizer 1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester, the company says. Production of this...
