Enterprise to site ethane export terminal on Houston Ship Channel

Enterprise Products Partners (Houston) has chosen the Houston Ship Channel for the site of a new ethane export facility. The company says it has signed a 30-year agreement with the Port of Houston Authority for use of facilities adjacent to Enterprise’s Morgan’s Point terminal. Enterprise first announced plans to build the facility, which will be capable of loading fully refrigerated ethane at a rate of about 10,000 bbl/hour, in April.
