EU chemicals output was stagnant in 2013, Cefic says

Output of chemicals was stagnant in the European Union in 2013, Cefic says. Zero growth in 2013 meant that the sector remained 6.4% below the pre-financial crisis, full-year peak level achieved in 2007, Cefic adds. The 2013 figure is slightly better than the last Cefic forecast, issued last September, which predicted a contraction for the year.
