Dow withdraws from NAM over gas export policy

Dow Chemical has withdrawn from National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the top manufacturing trade association in the United States, citing a position on natural gas exports taken by the group last week. “With no discussion or notification, NAM adopted a new position on this issue which places the interest of oil and gas producers above the interests of its manufacturer members,” Dow said in a statement. “For these reasons, Dow has chosen to withdraw from membership.” Dow said last week that it was reviewing its membership in NAM and ACC, citing...
