Clariant to use biobased succinic acid in production of pigments

Clariant is incorporating renewable raw materials into quinacridone pigments produced at the company's Frankfurt-Höchst facility, in Germany, the company announced today. The decision makes Clariant the first pigment producer to offer products derived from biobased succinic acid, the company says. A significant share of this year's quinacridone pigment production at the plant will use biobased succinic acid supplied by Myriant (Quincy, MA), Clariant says.
