China extends probe into polysilicon imports from EU

China's Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom; Beijing) says that it will extend the previously announced antidumping probe into imports of solar-grade polysilicon from the European Union for another six months. Mofcom launched the investigation on 1 November 2012, and it had been slated to be completed before 1 November 2013. Given the complexity of the case, the ministry has decided to extend the investigation, which is now expected to be completed on 1 May 2014, Mofcom says.
