Celanese and PetroChina sign deal to develop fuel ethanol

Celanese says its wholly owned Celanese Far East subsidiary has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with PetroChina, to advance the development of synthetic fuel ethanol. The two companies, under this arrangement, will collaborate to jointly develop synthetic fuel ethanol opportunities in China utilizing Celanese's proprietary TCX ethanol process technology.
