CPC Corp. inks LOI with companies

BASF, Evonik Industries, Mitsubishi Chemical, and Mitsui Chemicals have signed a letter of intent (LOI) with CPC Corp. (Taipei) to develop production of high-value specialty petrochemicals, CW has learned. One source told CW on the sidelines of the recent Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference in Taipei that CPC is expected to hold 50% in the venture with the other partners sharing the rest. The project, still in the early stages, foresees production of specialty petrochemicals in Taiwan and overseas. There are 2 sites under consideration in Taiwan: Kaohsiung...
