Braskem sells water, waste treatment assets for $318 million

Braskem has sold a water treatment affiliate and a majority stake in a waste treatment firm to Odebrecht Environmental (São Paulo) for a combined R652 million ($318 million), according to local reports. The assets are part of the Camaçari petrochemical complex in northern Brazil where Braskem produces polyolefins.
