Borealis bids to acquire Total's fertilizer business12:10 PM MST | February 7, 2013 Total announced yesterday that it has received a firm offer from Borealis to acquire Total's GPN (Paris) fertilizer business and Total's majority stake in the Rosier (Moustier, Belgium) fertilizer business. Total says it has granted Borealis the exclusive right to pursue the offer. The proposed deal would be the second fertilizer acquisition by Borealis from Total in little more than one year. Borealis acquired the PEC-Rhin (Ottmarsheim, France) nitrogen fertilizer business from GPN in February 2012. Borealis has offered €200/share ($270) for Total's 56.86%...
