Bayer CropScience to acquire seeds company in Argentina

Bayer CropScience announced today that it entered into an agreement to purchase the start-up company FN Semillas (Buenos Aires). FN Semillas specializes in breeding, production and marketing of improved soybean seeds in Argentina. The acquisition marks Bayer's entry into the Argentina soybean seeds market. The transaction requires clearance from the antitrust authority in Argentina. Financial details were not disclosed.
