BASF invests in cathodes R&D...

BASF is spending $25 million to expand its R&D site at Beachwood, OH, to include cathode materials research and chemical and process engineering. The expansions will increase the number of employees at the site by 40, to 90. The expansions are expected to be complete early next year. The site at Beachwood currently houses catalysts and battery materials research. Catalysts research has been housed at the site for over three decades, while battery materials research was launched in 2009 in anticipation of the 2012 opening of BASF’s lithium-ion battery...
