BASF breaks ground on crop protection plant in China

BASF says it has broken ground on the previously announced new formulation and packaging plant for crop protection products, at Rudong, Jiangsu Province, China. The new plant, with a production capacity of 10,000 m.t./year, is expected to be fully operational in 2014, and will employ more than 100 people.
