Arkema to divest South Africa coatings businesses

Arkema (Paris) plans to sell its two South African coatings businesses, Arkema Resins and Harveys Composites, to Ferro Industrial Products (Brakpan, South Africa). “Through this divestment, Arkema will dispose of non-strategic activities -- such as resins for composite materials -- which represent few synergies with the remainder of its coating activities,” the company says in a statement.
